BLOCK PRINT INDIAN TAPESTRY - Hand block printed vegetable dye tapestry. Very primitive appeal with drops of misplaced dye or smudges from the artists hands as he pressed his blocks to the fabric, forever leaving his trace. It does not get any closer to "handcraft" than this. Please note that print and dye imperfections are not to be considered defects but rather primitive characteristics associated to the art of hand block printing, the oldest and slowest form of textile printing known to man. Measures approx. 104 x 70 inches and will work for a twin size bed. It is made of 100% power-loom cotton offering a smooth, durable weave. Can be machine washed separately on cool/gentle and tumble dried. Lovely floral vine pattern with little partridges along the border in shades of blue, black and gray on grayish beige background.
