REVERSIBLE PILLOW SHAM ~ Hand block printed Kalamkari  reversible pillow sham. Measures approx. 28 x 24 inches with large button enclosure. Made of 100% power-loom cotton offering a smooth, durable weave. Color is sage green and sienna red on beige background on one side and indigo blue, olive green and gold on beige background on the other side. They are color fast and can be machine washed separately on cool/gentle and tumble dried. The art of Kalamkari demands a lot of treatment before and after the painting and block printing is completed on the cotton fabric. Hence Kalamkari is a laborious and time consuming process. The intricate designs, elaborate borders and understanding of balanced composition have made Kalamkari one of the most popular styles of Indian printing throughout the centuries.
